We have produced a publication entitled "One to
One Marketing" that will guide you through the initial steps of marketing
your own business by beginning the research phase over the phone.
From there it takes you step by step through the process of building and developing
a client base through the proper use of telephone, email, and personal visits
(if personal visits are necessary to sell your product).
If you follow the instructions as precisely as you would examine literature about
your favorite subject... (for me that's cars and cookbooks)... you will
build a revenue producing client base within three to four months.
As much as I'd like to guarantee that three to four month time frame, so much
depends upon the demographics of your target market, economic climate within the
industry you are operating, and even your own ability to close a sale. However,
all things being equal, three to four months has been the success deadline of
this process over my twenty plus years of experience with it.
There is a computer program now that mirrors this process exactly. If you try
the process first in its manual form, you should earn the revenue to afford the
software and convert as soon as you are ready. While A.U. does not sell the software,
we can guide you to the people who do.
This program was originally developed in the U.S. and has been successfully applied
to commercial industries such as Ready-to-Wear Fashion, Printing, Office Furniture,
Office Machines, Commercial Janitorial, Commercial & Residential Moving, Promotional
Items, Corporate Benefit Programs; and of course, it built Alternatives Unlimited
Inc.
You'll notice that there is a nice balance of tangible products and intangible
services amongst the list of tried and true performances. However, there were
some failures too: Web Site Services, Financial Planning, and Massage. These failures
were not the fault of the program. It was the inability of the principles of the
companies to conform to the demands the market and circumstances clearly demonstrated
were necessary for the success.
The manual retails for $500.00 CDN (+GST). With personal instruction over the
phone on the AU toll-free line; or in person if you live in Calgary Alberta, the
training program is $1200 (incl the manual) +GST. Either way, you will increase
your sales potential immediately just by applying some of the fine-tuning aspects
of the program.

While everyone knows how to use the telephone as a communication tool, using the
